Healing powers of cold have been used since ancient times. People used ice to reduce pain or inflammation. In the 1970s, Japanese professor Toshima Yamauchi first proposed using extremely low temperatures for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. This method turned out to be extremely effective – about 80% of seriously ill people were completely relieved from symptoms of the disease and pain. Professor Yamauchi told the world about his achievements at the Rheumatology Congress, and a few years later the first cryotherapeutic system was commissioned.
Today cryotherapy is a proven means of recovery and treatment. Thousands of athletes, celebrities and ordinary people use it to improve their health and general well-being.
