Cryomed Pro+ is medical cryotherapy equipment that combines the best features from our two product lines: it is as good-looking as our flagship Cryomed Pro and has the same minimal nitrogen consumption and dual compatibility as Cryomed One.

Cryomed Pro+ features the most advanced safety system. Its compliance with the most rigorous requirements set out in EC Directive 93/42/EEC, as well as in the latest version of EN ISO 13485:2016, was confirmed by TÜV Rheinland, one of the most reputable certification bodies.

Cryomed Pro+ cryo chamber is equipped with all features to ensure a safe and controlled environment for cryotherapy sessions:

  • head proximity sensor which does not initiate the session or shuts it down if the customer’s head is not detected at the required level;
  • open door sensor, which stops the session if the cabin door is open for any reason;
  • emergency stop button for the operator to be able to stop the session at any time.

Moreover, in response to the requirements of quality standards for medical equipment, the safety features were further enhanced with:

  • an operator sensor to make sure that the operator stays at the control panel at all times during the session;
  • LN overflow protection, both electronic and mechanical, to prevent any access of liquid nitrogen into the cabin;
  • an additional module to monitor the cryosauna’s main controller which can shut the session down if any malfunction is detected.

In addition, all safety features are duplicated so that if one fails the other steps in.

Room requirements

Cryomed’s Pro lineup models have a comparatively small footprint, around 3 square meters. But it is safer to go with a location measuring roughly 9 square meters to have enough space for nitrogen tank(s) and a changing room. Make sure to leave at least 300 mm between the walls and the machine on either side.

Another important consideration: due to the machine’s weight, up to 350 kg, it should be installed on a solid floor, preferably concrete or tiled. Wood or similar flooring is a bad call. It is crucial to ensure that the floor is as flat as possible.

When deciding on a room where to set up your cryosauna, be sure to measure the size of ANY door frames you will need to use to carry the machine into the room. For the Pro lineup, the door frames should be at least 770 mm wide to make the delivery possible.

You have to make a 100 mm opening in a wall for the exhaust system so that nitrogen vapors can be extracted properly while a cryosauna is in operation. Alternatively, the pipe can be integrated into a window (vent sash) as long as a proper tight fit for the pipe is provided.

The room temperature should be between 15°C and 24°C with the humidity below 60%. Air-conditioning and ventilation with actively circulating air (both in and out) are strongly advised (mechanical supply and extract). Oxygen sensors are recommended, too.
